JOB SUMMARY:

The FED Emergency Services Director will oversee the free Standing Emergency Department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Readily available and responsible for the 24 hour a day operation of the departments and programs as mentioned above, insuring adequate and appropriate staffing, necessary equipment, supplies and resources.
  • Establishes and enforces policies, procedures, standards and objectives to insure compliance with regulatory agencies for promoting patient and employee well-being, safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintains on-going accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination and integration of the department's services, programs and standards of care in conjunction with the collaboration of the various ancillary departments and outside resources.
  • Provides on-going evaluation of departmental and program efficiency focusing on areas of opportunity for improvement to maintain high quality patient care and the preservation of positive interactions between patients, physicians and employees.
  • Responsible for annual employee evaluations, maintaining up-to-date competency criteria, over-seeing the compliance of all Emergency Services employee's compliance with mandatory education and certifications.
