Summary

Reporting directly to the EVP, COO of The Guthrie Clinic, the Director of Enterprise Operations serves as the COO's centralized operational support. Responsibilities will include but not limited to, financial and operational reporting, budgeting, labor efficiency analysis, benchmarking, cost analysis, operational and quality scorecards, revenue and reimbursement analysis, contracts, measuring trends, and other financial activities with a broad functional or organizational scope. The Director, Enterprise Ops is also responsible for new business plan development and ongoing analysis and interpretation of program data and identifying service-related issues as required, providing detailed reports with cost analysis. Furthermore, the Director of Enterprise Ops may work with other executive leaders on special assignments at the sole discretion of the EVP, COO of TGC.

Experience

Requires a high degree of judgment, initiative, leadership, and demonstrated ability in addressing key organizational initiatives across multiple domains with a high level of communication, and interpersonal skills. A track record of meeting objectives in a dynamic and fluid environment, with experience leading projects in a highly matrixed organizational structure is preferred. Experience in governance-related matters as well as operational experience is also preferred.

Education

Master's Degree in Health administration, healthcare management or business administration required.

Essential Functions
  1. Provides coordination to the executive functions of the EVP, COO.
  2. Works with the EVP, COO and with members of the entity Senior Leadership Team to set agendas that are consistent with the achievement of entity and TGC's operational and strategic objectives.
  3. Analyzes various reports for the impact of the actual and/or proposed operational changes in meeting Surgical Services dashboards/scorecards.
  4. Oversee capital budget, investigating statistics to support equipment requests.
  5. Continuously monitor operational outcomes and compare against goals and/or established benchmarks.
  6. Implement process optimization/improvement initiatives when negative variance occurs.
  7. Analyze financial trends and report findings to appropriate Leadership.
  8. Assists with overseeing key business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of the EVP, COO.
  9. Assists in enhancing the general relationships between TGC Senior Leadership Team and the Entity Senior Leadership Team.
  10. Assists the EVP, COO in developing presentations for key audiences.
  11. Participates in operational and strategic initiatives as directed by the EVP, COO
  12. Evaluate the reimbursement of entity programs to determine profitability.
