Responsibilities Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, and the Adult population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is currently searching for an experienced Director of Clinical Services.

The Director of Clinical Services performs a multitude of functions related to social services and business management of the Programs. These include assuring staff perform their respective duties in an efficient and therapeutic manner. The goal is to ensure that staff provide services to all patients so that patient needs are met from a bio-psychosocial standpoint. The DCS also assures that the general day-to-day functions of programming are met. The ultimate goal of this position is to ensure that all patients have access to therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching , and complete specialized clinical interventions for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, family therapy, and providing feedback to staff and referrals as indicated. Providing oversight to ensure clinical staff develop thorough and accurate psychosocial evaluations, develop and implement the interdisciplinary treatment plan, and provide for appropriate discharge planning/aftercare referrals. Providing leadership as clinical liaison of the hospital to the community and referral sources. He/she demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and staff. He/she demonstrates the ability to prioritize the multiple demands of the position and can accurately give and follow instructions. Demonstrates knowledge of documentation requirements and ensures these are completed in a timely manner . Excellent judgment and clinical skills are essential for this position. Must possess knowledge of the developmental stages of children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population as well as the social, cultural, environmental influences on both patient and family members.
Qualifications Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Assess and identify staff strengths and note these during interactions with staff;
- Document significant changes in staff's performance and periodically review with each staff member noting positive or negative changes as indicated;
- Ensure hat staff work their reespective schedules and are responsible for giving appropriate notice of intent to use PTO;
- Ensure weekly treatment teams are held and documented for each program provied. Lead by example with staff and demonstrate knowledge of bio-psychosocial factors and DSM criteria related to the ages of the patients served and incorporate the knowledge base into the treatment team.;
- Participate in, and effectively contribute to staff meetings, conferences, and treatment planning meetings as well as other required meetings;
- Review and modify treatment plan templates based on changes in CMS to ensure that all treatment plans are in guidelines of CMS or other governing bodies such as the state;
- Conduct various trainings as appropriate;
- Monitor program activities and provide feedback to staff;
- Will serve as a productive member of the Senior Leadership team;
- Will serve as the Administrator On Call on a consistent rotation with other Senior Leaders;
- Interact and communicate with community agencies;
- Assist in the orientation of new staff and assure services are provided to the highes level of professionalism and to the best ability of each member of staff within their abilities;
- Other duties as assigned.

- Independent Licensure in Indiana (LCSW, LHMC, or LMFT)
- An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.
- Minimum of 5 yeaars Director level experience in Behavioral Health/Healthcare environment.
- Must be able to take and pass CPI and CPR.
