Full Job Description
Reporting into the Digital & Social Intelligence Manager within the Commercial Excellence organization, the Digital & Social Intelligence Senior Analyst will be a crucial addition to a team whose mission is to implement an adaptive, industry-leading Social Intelligence capability into Nestle USA that is considered a trusted source of actionable, real-time insight into consumer perception & culture. The Social Intelligence capability has been built to support stakeholders across Brand Marketing, Consumer & Marketplace Insights, Social Strategy & Community, Foresight, Innovation, Category Strategy, Corporate Communication and other teams; ultimately, our goal is to fully embed the capability throughout Nestle USA and empower stakeholders across every department to act upon real-time social media insights. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will be a crucial member of the emerging cross-functional capability of AI Readiness by supporting LLM Listening & Visibility analysis, including tool implementation & governance, stakeholder support and incorporation into Social Intelligence analysis deliverables. After supporting the final stages of the Social Intelligence capability's implementation across Nestle USA, and the incorporation of LLM Listening into our processes, the Digital & Social Intelligence Senior Analyst's role will focus on robust stakeholder relationship building with teams across the organization, working hand-in-hand with stakeholders to provide consistent, timely & actionable insights for our brands, while forging a continuous stakeholder feedback loop on our offerings. The insights the Analyst will deliver will originate from both cadenced and ad-hoc research requests, while the feedback the Senior Analyst gathers will inform how we optimize & evolve the Digital & Social Intelligence capability over time using ever-evolving AI-driven technology. The Senior Analyst will be expected to balance supporting stakeholders by fulfilling research requests using our best-in-class technology stack, while also training the stakeholders to be able to leverage the technology to find insights on their own. This balance will allow the Senior Analyst, along with the rest of the Digital & Social Intelligence team, to focus our efforts on the most important in-depth analysis the organization needs, while empowering our stakeholders to conduct their own light monitoring of day-to-day digital & social insights questions. The role will work in collaboration with other stakeholders within the Center of Demand Generation, including but not limited to Foresight, Consumer Insights, Digital Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Digital Shelf & eCommerce, Shopper Insights and Innovation, to provide capabilities and services that consistently identify, generate & distribute actionable & timely insights to Nestle USA's 25+ Brand Marketing teams. The Senior Analyst will be expected to work with our stakeholder teams to understand Nestle USA's business objectives and brand strategies across a wide variety of product categories such as coffee, coffee creamer, chocolate & desserts, frozen meals, pizza, snacking, baking ingredients, noodles and sauces. Day-to-day activities vary given the nature of our business, but the Senior Analyst can expect to balance answering business questions through in-depth analysis using multiple technologies, collaborating with stakeholders in key meetings, developing and executing self-service training programs, identifying & helping implement new technology features, working with vendors and attending leadership presentations. On top of the various product categories we support and the multiple technologies we use, the world of social media and AI-driven technology changes rapidly. Therefore, a balance of technical skill, strategic thinking, proactivity, flexibility and a solution-seeking attitude is crucial for success in this role. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Social Listening, LLM Listening & Related Social Media Research, including Presentation to Stakeholders. Leverage Nestle USA's Digital & Social Intelligence technology stack to conduct in-depth research about our brands, competitors, product categories and relevant cultural trends, using the insights to deliver a persuasive & visual story to stakeholders that drives action within their key initiatives. This includes navigating technology that handles every facet of Digital & Social Intelligence, such as social listening, ratings & reviews listening, LLM Listening / GEO / AEO, emerging trend identification, social audience persona building, influencer evaluation and owned content performance benchmarking. Where applicable, this also includes combining findings with other data sources outside of Social Intelligence, often via collaboration with our broader Digital Analytics, Marketing Analytics and Consumer Insights teams, to provide comprehensive analysis to the stakeholder.
    • Stakeholder Training & Guidance. Assist in the development and execution of training programs, including building training material, leading office hours and sitting one-on-one with stakeholders to guide them through use cases for social listening & social intelligence that build confidence in their ability to navigate the technology to find insights.
    • Stakeholder Request Management. Assist the Digital & Social Intelligence Manager in managing an analysis request queue, which assigns priority to each ad-hoc social research request based on impact to the business, level of effort and urgency. This includes keeping track of stakeholder check-in cadences to ensure the Digital & Social Intelligence team is consistently engaging each key stakeholder group.
    • Tool Output Scanning & Insights Identification. Review the automated reporting outputs from the various tools, including weekly/bi-weekly/monthly AI-driven reports and real-time email alerts, to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of the automated outputs while also mining for actionable insights that need to be flagged to our stakeholders for further discussion & potential action.
    • Tool Maintenance & Governance. Assist in the day-to-day management of the tools, from user access to dashboard/report quality, flagging issues or needs to the Digital & Social Intelligence Manager while collaborating with 3rd party and shared service support teams.
    • Vendor Collaboration. Partnering with analysts from 3rd parties and shared service teams on key research projects and key feature advancements, as well as brainstorming and providing feedback to tool providers on ideal features and functionality that maximize actionability.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, market research, analytics, communications, business, economics, or related field
    • 3-5 years of experience in social listening and additional social research, including in-tool navigational experience and strategic storytelling of analysis results.
    • 3-5 years in a strategic role working with data analytics, with a focus on developing strong dashboards and/or other automatically refreshable visualizations that empower stakeholders to quickly identify key takeaways from data
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
    • Experience using Talkwalker, Nichefire, Yogi, Audiense, Creator IQ, Sprinklr or similar tools throughout every part of the process: query building, dashboard visualization, automated report building and ultimately in-depth analysis of key takeaways
    • Familiarity with the emerging LLM Listening & Visibility / GEO / AEO analysis space, including tools such as Profound
    • Strong understanding of how AI can be used to support Digital & Social Intelligence workstreams, including prompt-writing best practices to focus the observation summarizations of AI assistants
    • Strong research experience and familiarity with the process for developing consumer, category & cultural insights
    • Strong storytelling experience through the creation and presentation of compelling slide decks
    • Ability to translate business needs into strategic social intelligence frameworks that can be executed & replicated across a large organization
    • Familiarity with foresight use cases, identifying and analyzing trend signals from social media that ladder up to larger cultural movements or consumer behavior shifts
    • Understanding of the social media landscape, dynamics of community interaction, social best practices, and digital analytics tools
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to execute multiple projects at once across various stakeholder teams throughout a large organization
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
    • Familiarity with experimentation and A/B testing of social/digital content executions
    • Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for website analytics
    • Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and its analytics functionalities
    • Familiarity with Power BI to create and visualize data from disparate data sets
Salary: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year Bonus Eligibility: Yes The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
