Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Digital Farming Leader to align project strategies with business goals.
  • Guide project strategy development and coordinate with Project Leads to mitigate risks.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership on project status and opportunities.
  • Establish data governance standards for models, analytics, and technologies to ensure quality.
  • Manage resource allocation and track investments across projects throughout planning cycles.
  • Quantify and report on the business value of investment initiatives based on the Innovation Management framework.
  • Contribute as a key member of the Digital Farming Leadership Team within FS&D.

The Digital Farming Platform team sits within the Corteva Research & Development (R&D), Farming Solutions & Digital (FS&D) group. The vision of Digital Farming is to unlock the full potential of our products for our customers by delivering integrated solutions powered by on-farm data, predictive models, and agronomy. As a Portfolio Lead for projects within Digital Farming, you will be responsible for implementing this vision in collaboration with R&D, Commercial and the business.

Responsibilities - What You Will do:
  • Partner with the Digital Farming Platform Lead to maintain strategic alignment with the business, and ensure projects have strong buy-in and engagement from Commercial leadership and teams.
  • Oversee the development of project strategy and collaborate with the portfolio's Project Leads to drive progress and mitigate risks.
  • Effectively communicate concepts, project status, results and business opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with our data and architecture governance leads, establish and uphold standards across our data, science and technology components, including models, analytics, experiment designs, data reviews and software implementation, to ensure technical rigor and delivery of business value.
  • Oversee resource planning and investment tracking across the portfolio, supporting both annual and multi-year planning cycles, and ensuring projects are appropriately resourced to meet goals
  • Quantify, track, and communicate the business value of all investments following our Innovation Management framework.
  • Serve as a member of the Digital Farming Platform Leadership Team and as an influential leader within FS&D.


What Skills You Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience, or MS/PhD and 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in the agriculture industry
  • Track record of exhibiting thought leadership in an R&D or Commercial setting, challenging the status quo, and driving innovation
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience with digital solutions, including working with diverse data and data systems, data science & analytics and software development
  • Skilled at influencing across matrixed organizations and driving alignment without direct authority
  • Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills and strong track record of delivering results
