Full Job Description
Summary: SSDM is looking for its next Digital Content Manager. This role will lead content at the agency and collaborate with the teams to create innovative ideas and support with all things digital execution. Responsibilities may include: • Manage and oversee the daily activities of a content team which may include writers, graphic designers, videographers, and other industry professionals • Lead in creating copy for creative projects this may include short and long-form content (blogs, social media, ad copy, landing pages, etc.). • Develop creative marketing copy for social promotions, digital marketing campaigns, landing pages, display ads, videos, and more • Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year for various clients • Use target keywords to write search-engine copy that is optimized for search engines (SEO) while remaining entertaining and informative • Timely response time to client communications, which may be outside of normal working hours at times • Support client communication as it relates to content and social. This will include supporting other senior team members, client experience managers, and leadership. • Writing and providing strategic insight into social media calendars for various clients • Support SEO audits as it relates to research and content • Content and creative copy optimization • Conduct keyword research and analysis to help drive the most valuable traffic • Ongoing review and analysis of client websites for areas that can be improved and optimized • Mine a vast number of data sources (surveys, Google Analytics reports, audits, user testing, etc.) to extract insights geared towards evaluating our clients SEO and content campaigns against various KPIs • Support preparing detailed client-facing monthly/quarterly metrics reports • Technical on-page SEO implementation • Strategic thinking and planning • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification • Editing, proofing + QA on projects • Stay abreast of current best practices in the industry and review competitor websites to compare their activities with those of your company • Be proactive in self-teach on your assigned platforms The requirement details: • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or relevant field or equivalent experience • Excellent communication skills • Superb client management and customer service skills, including producing clear, error-free correspondence and the ability to articulate strategies and solutions in meetings • Ability to work creatively while managing a consistent workload • Ability to build rapport and have a positive attitude • Ability to work within a creative team environment • Self-driven, time management and planning skills in a fast-paced environment • The ongoing drive to do push the creative envelope and keep up with the latest digital trends • Willingness to learn and be adaptable to change • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills • Ability to work within a team and independently • Previous digital agency/marketing/advertising sales experience • SEO copywriting experience • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Search Console, and other analytic platforms • Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis tools and methodology • Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems • Remain current on industry, cultural, and technology trends, and look for opportunities to incorporate them into your creative concept • 1+ years of technical SEO experience • 2+ years of digital marketing experience • 3+ years of experience in copywriting • At least 3+ years of agency experience or in a similar role • Ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes or supports the company's brand identity • Expertise with using SEO best practices to write creative copy that includes effective keyword placement • Excellent verbal communication skills with a good command of the English language • Extremely computer literate, especially with how to write, interpret and edit HTML scripts • Advanced written communication skills and an ability to read copy in English • Experience with social media engagement strategies and best practices • Strong skills in creating original content that targets a specific audience and meets company objective • Basic technical knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite and WordPress What We Offer • A fast-paced, ever-changing and exciting environment • A collaborative culture that embodies teamwork but where accountability is required • Full-time-hybrid, salary position + profit sharing Compensation & Profit Sharing SSDM offers a competitive salary range of $80,000+, commensurate with experience. In addition, every team member receives annual profit sharing, beginning on your first day. You'll be 20% vested your first full year, increasing annually until fully vested at year five. Profit-sharing distributions are paid out in December as a lump sum-above and beyond your salary.
