Full Job Description
The Digital Agile Program Manager is a strategic individual contributor responsible for operationalizing Scaled Agile (SAFe) program delivery within Wynn's formal PMO governance framework. This role bridges agile execution and enterprise PMO controls, ensuring all digital and technology investments are tied to high-value business outcomes while maintaining compliance with funding gates, CapEx approval processes, and budget accountability. Success requires fluency in both Agile Program Increment (PI) planning and executive-level governance, with the ability to translate between business stakeholders, engineering leadership, and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Program Delivery & Execution
• Lead and coordinate 4-6 concurrent SAFe programs across digital and technology initiatives, including quarterly PI planning, execution, roadmap development, and dependency management
• Partner with Engineering leadership to ensure program teams (including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and engineering managers) align on business priorities, sprint goals, and delivery cadence
• Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning sessions, ensuring capacity planning, dependency resolution, and business objective alignment across multiple teams
• Track program health, velocity, and milestone delivery; escalate risks and blockers to executive sponsors; drive corrective action on slipping timelines and scope changes
PMO Governance & Business Value Alignment
• Serve as the integration point between SAFe agile delivery and formal PMO governance gates, ensuring all programs map to approved funding, business value metrics, and strategic objectives
• Manage the sequencing and completion of eCARF funding request forms and PMO approvals; coordinate with Finance and business stakeholders to document business cases, expected ROI, and CapEx justification for all digital initiatives
• Own program-level budget tracking and forecast accuracy; monitor actual spend against approved budgets, identify variances, and work with finance to maintain CapEx accountability and prevent scope creep outside governance controls
• Ensure programs articulate clear, measurable business value (revenue impact, cost savings, operational efficiency) and provide regular value realization reporting to executive sponsors and the PMO
Stakeholder Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
• Coordinate and communicate with business sponsors, the VP of Engineering, PMO leadership, and finance teams; prepare executive summaries, status reports, and escalation briefings tailored to audience and governance cadence
• Facilitate roadmap reviews and strategy sessions; help business stakeholders and product teams understand the constraints and opportunities of the SAFe framework and PMO governance model
• Build and maintain program artifacts (roadmaps, program backlogs, burn-down charts, dependency matrices) and governance documentation to support decision-making and audit trails
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
Identify and resolve process gaps, inefficiencies, and friction points in the integration of agile delivery and PMO governance; partner with PMO leadership and Engineering to refine workflows and remove blockers
Stay current with SAFe best practices and PMO governance trends; champion continuous improvement in program execution and planning rigor
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience managing programs or large initiatives, with demonstrated success in both agile delivery and formal program/portfolio governance environments
• Solid working knowledge of Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework, including PI planning, agile program increment execution, and SAFe program roles and ceremonies
• Strong understanding of project/program governance, capital expense (CapEx) approval processes, business case development, and budget accountability
• Proficiency with program management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Miro, or similar); comfort with data-driven reporting and metrics tracking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate between technical teams, business stakeholders, and executives
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Preferred Qualifications
• SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified SAFe Program Consultant (CSPC), or equivalent SAFe certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-ACP certification
• Experience in hospitality, gaming, or consumer-facing digital services
• Demonstrated experience building or refining the integration between agile delivery and traditional PMO governance in an enterprise setting
• Proficiency with CapEx tracking, cost allocation, and financial management in a complex multi-project environment
Key Competencies & Soft Skills
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence and coordinate across business, engineering, PMO, and finance functions without direct authority
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in the tension between agile flexibility and governance rigor; skilled at finding practical balance
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect program execution to business strategy and articulate business value in terms relevant to C-suite
• Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying process bottlenecks and collaborative in designing solutions
• Attention to Detail: Rigorous in tracking budgets, timelines, and governance compliance without losing sight of the bigger picture
• Bias for Action: Moves decisively with incomplete information; escalates thoughtfully rather than gate-keeping or delaying
Key Success Metrics
• On-Time Program Delivery: Programs delivering planned business value milestones on schedule
• Budget Accuracy: Program spend tracking within b15% of approved budgets with transparent variance reporting
• Business Value Realization: Programs achieving or exceeding stated ROI, revenue, or efficiency objectives
• Stakeholder Satisfaction: Positive feedback from business sponsors, engineering leadership, and PMO leadership on program clarity, communication, and governance compliance
• Process Improvement: Documented reduction in cycle time for funding approvals, PI planning, or governance bottlenecks
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This role is office-based at Wynn Las Vegas and requires the ability to attend in-person PI planning sessions, stakeholder meetings, and executive briefings. Flexibility to support ad hoc program events and cross-site coordination with other Wynn properties may be required.
