Nutrition Services, North Zone is looking for a dietitian to join our team in Slave Lake. Slave Lake offers a unique blend of natural beauty and small-town charm, with stunning lakes, forests, and year-round outdoor activities. This position provides a wide range of experiences, working with patients in acute care, long-term care, outpatients, home care, and community nutrition settings. As a dietitian in this role, you'll have the chance to provide both individual and group education in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment. While most of the patients you'll work with will be adults, pediatric clients may also be seen in outpatient or acute care settings. We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates a Patient First philosophy, has exceptional time management and interpersonal skills, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care and building strong, supportive relationships with both colleagues and clients. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Description:

As a Dietitian I, you may provide nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) in various AHS facilities and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. You may be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans. You may plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients/groups in facilities or community settings. Nutrition education is provided to students and other healthcare professionals to support delivery of evidence based nutrition information.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).
