The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
A Typical Day:
- Utilizing the Nutrition Care Process and Evidence-Based Practice Guidelines to deliver comprehensive nutrition care across various patient populations.
- Completing clinical nutrition assessments, physical assessments, and customized care plans in accordance with department standards.
- Identifying clinical risk factors such as Protein Calorie Malnutrition and developing targeted nutrition diagnoses and interventions.
- Calculating complex nutrient intake studies, enteral tube feeding formulas, and parenteral nutrition formulas to ensure optimal patient support.
- Documenting comprehensive assessment data, diagnoses, care plans, and patient progress notes efficiently within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assessing educational needs and providing tailored nutrition counseling to patients and families, accounting for cultural, ethnic, and religious factors.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and providing clinical guidance to Menu Technicians and Food Service staff to maintain seamless operations.
- Serving as a preceptor and mentor for Dietetic Students, supervising educational experiences, and supporting the orientation of new team members.

To Be Considered:
- Required Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics.
- Required Licensure/Credential: Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, or successfully pass the Registration Examination within ninety (90) days of hire.
- Core Competencies: Strong baseline of interpersonal communication skills, proficiency with electronic patient medical records, and ability to calculate complex nutritional formulas.
