OverviewDecisionPoint seeks DevSecOps Engineers to support secure application delivery, pipeline automation, and environment configuration in a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. These roles maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines, implement automated deployments, perform security scanning, support CMS and application environment configurations, and ensure adherence to secure DevSecOps practices.
DevSecOps Engineers will work closely with developers, cloud engineers, cybersecurity teams, and system administrators to deliver automated, secure, and reliable releases across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
These positions are fully remote.
Duties & Responsibilities
The DevSecOps Engineer will:
- Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment workflows, and DevSecOps tooling.
- Configure secure build pipelines, code quality scanning, and dependency management.
- Implement security scanning tools, vulnerability checks, and static/dynamic analysis in pipelines.
- Manage CMS and application environment configuration across DEV, TEST, STAGE, and PROD.
- Maintain version control workflows, branching patterns, and code repository governance.
- Collaborate with developers and security engineers on secure coding and release readiness.
- Support automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration using cloud-native tools.
- Diagnose build failures, deployment issues, and environment configuration problems.
- Optimize pipeline performance and standardize DevSecOps processes.
- Maintain documentation for pipeline steps, deployment patterns, and environment configuration.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, and release discussions.
Qualifications
Clearance Requirement
Must hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation.
Education (Required)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience (Required)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, cloud engineering, or software delivery automation.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and secure build processes.
- Experience with code repositories, Git workflows, and environment configuration.
- Experience implementing security scanning and automated quality gates.
- Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications, preferably in AWS GovCloud or similar environments.
Technical Knowledge (Required)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Knowledge of security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA).
- Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management.
- Understanding of containerization, orchestration, and deployment automation.
- Experience with version control, branching strategies, and code governance.
Technical Knowledge (Preferred)
- Experience with AWS cloud certifications or AWS-specific DevSecOps practices.
- Experience supporting CMS or enterprise web platform pipelines.
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools integrated into DevSecOps workflows.
Certifications
Required:
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP
Preferred:
- AWS certification (Developer, SysOps, or DevOps Engineer)
- Additional DevOps or cloud engineering certifications
