Summary:LufCo is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a program in Aberdeen, MD. The DevSecOps Engineer will design, secure, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, development environments, infrastructure, and containerized platforms while supporting DoD security and ATO requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and development environments.
- Collaborate with Development, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Testing, and Operations teams to improve delivery processes.
- Support DoD security requirements, RMF, and ATO activities through automation and secure technical controls.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and automated deployments.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and automation scripts.
- Build and secure Linux and Windows system images for DoD environments.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Podman, or similar technologies.
- Integrate automated testing and security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support system hardening, patching, configuration, and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot pipeline, infrastructure, application, networking, and container issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration baselines, and deployment procedures.
QualificationsEducation:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience is nice to have.
Experience:- 6+ years of relevant technical experience of which 4+ years of DevSecOps and/or CI/CD experience.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.
- DoD environment experience preferred.
Skills:- CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
- Ansible and automation technologies.
- Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Podman, or similar container platforms.
- Linux, preferably RHEL or RHEL-compatible distributions.
- Windows systems administration and group policy.
- Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Git and version-control practices.
- AWS and cloud architecture.
- Linux and Windows security hardening.
- DoD RMF and ATO processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to travel approximately 10-25% to customer locations, including Aberdeen Proving Ground.
- Standard office environment with occasional client-site, lab, or field work.
Compensation and Benefits:- Competitive Pay: Annual salary ranges from $135,000 to $175,000. Salaries depend on labor category, years of experience, education, skills relevant to the position, and type of contract.
