Developer III for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. Candidate will support an enterprise Commercial Web development team responsible for maintaining and enhancing member self-service portals and a mobile toolkit application as part of a recently modernized web platform. This role focuses on front-end development, API integration, production support, and ongoing feature delivery within a collaborative Agile environment.
Required Qualifications of the Developer III:- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; OR 4 years of relevant professional experience; OR Associate's degree plus 2 years of related experience
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in application development, systems testing, or related IT experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Hands-on experience with Vue.js, Angular, or React in enterprise web environments
- Experience developing and maintaining applications using REST APIs and modern web architectures
- Strong understanding of application development, QA, and integration methodologies
- Experience with source control, builds, and deployment/release processes
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills in production and development environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Developer III:- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
- Exposure to OpenShift Container Platform and/or Quarkus-based services
- Experience supporting enterprise web modernization or platform rewrite initiatives
- Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks and ceremonies
Responsibilities of the Developer III:- Develop, enhance, and maintain front-end features and enterprise web application functionality
- Design, code, test, debug, and implement application components and enhancements
- Create and execute unit tests, validate code changes, and ensure software quality prior to release
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, providing timely support for system defects
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, design discussions, and system refinement sessions
- Manage source code, builds, deployments, and release activities across multiple environments
Work Location: Hybrid schedule with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday in Columbia, SC and additional onsite presence as needed. Remote interviews will be conducted.
