Responsibilities

  • Support story grooming and maintain Salesforce and nCino solutions using Apex, LWC, and integrations.
  • Build scalable applications with reusable components and automation adhering to Salesforce best practices.
  • Collaborate on solution design and delivery with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Engage in all phases of the SDLC from requirements analysis to production support and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct peer code reviews ensuring standards and best practices are met.
  • Maintain application quality through unit testing, code reviews, and resolving production issues.
  • Develop, test, and optimize Salesforce solutions while following coding best practices and DevOps processes.

As a Salesforce Developer, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Administrators, and fellow Developers to design, build, test, deploy, and support Salesforce and nCino solutions. You will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle by delivering high-quality, scalable solutions and resolving technical issues that support AFSC's business objectives.

What will you be responsible for?
  • Support story grooming, develop, unit test and maintain Salesforce and nCino solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio, Flows, APIs, integrations, and platform configuration to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Build scalable and secure applications by developing reusable components, automation, integrations, and services that adhere to Salesforce best practices, security standards, and platform limitations.
  • Understand & weigh in on solution design and delivery by partnering with Senior Developers, Technical Leads, Architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to translate business needs into practical, supportable technical solutions.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, technical design, estimation, development, testing, code reviews, deployment, release management, production support, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, ensuring solutions align with established coding standards, security requirements, architectural guidelines, and maintainability objectives.
  • Maintain application quality and reliability through unit testing, code reviews, documentation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and resolution of complex defects and production issues.
  • Serve as a hands-on developer responsible for developing, testing, debugging, and optimizing Salesforce and nCino solutions, with a strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and platform best practices.
  • Contribute to DevOps and release processes by utilizing Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, environment management, deployment planning, and production readiness activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by following development standards, reducing technical debt, sharing knowledge with team members, recommending improvements, and staying current with Salesforce and cloud technologies.


What are we looking for from you?
  • Experience developing and supporting Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, OmniStudio, APIs, and platform configuration.
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals, including object-oriented programming concepts, secure coding practices, code quality standards, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience developing or supporting nCino solutions is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, data, and production support issues.
  • Experience building, consuming, and supporting integrations using REST APIs and other Salesforce integration technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities and constraints, including governor limits, security models, sharing, bulk processing, and performance considerations.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams and participating in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activities, including requirements review, development, testing, code reviews, deployments, release management, and production support.
  • Familiarity with Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices in support of application delivery and change management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, administrators, business analysts, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and contribute effectively within a team environment.
