Job Purpose

This position provides electrical hardware and software design and support to new product development and standard product support engineering activities. This position involves computer-aided design of electrical hardware and development of software as well as design guidance to lower level designers. This position participates as a project team member and reports to a team group leader.

Essential Duties
  • Provide conceptual designs of new products in cooperation with a design team consisting of engineers, other designers and lab technicians.
  • Produce CAD conceptual designs layout and detail drawings of new products.
  • Revise and redraw, as required, production drawings of existing standard products. These drawings may be manual or CAD.
  • Use and apply Graco design and drafting standards and provide guidance to design technicians in same.
  • Perform engineering calculations as required to provide sound designs.
  • Work with Model Shop, Purchasing, technicians, and Manufacturing as required to produce designed products.
  • Software programming following engineer's guidance and design, and analysis of software code.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Capable of using and applying Graco design and drafting standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
