Full Job Description
We're modernizing a large federal data platform, and we need a designer who knows how things get built. This role sits between design and engineering and helps translate wireframes and mockups into working prototypes and products. You'll work to help turn substandard user interfaces into elegant workflows and create a cohesive customer experience.

The Work
  • Prototype and build interactive workflows that bridge design intent and technical implementation
  • Maintain and extend design system libraries and templates so they hold up in code
  • Work directly with designers, analysts and developers to ensure designs are accurate and buildable
  • Build and configure within low-code/no-code platforms as part of the delivery workflow
  • Support product quality across the delivery cycle, from usability checks to accessibility and QA
  • Adapt quickly to new tools and platforms as the technical environment evolves

What You Need
  • 4 years working at the intersection of design and front-end development
  • Solid design sensibility, comfort working within a shared design system
  • Working understanding of HTML/CSS and enough front-end fluency to assess design feasibility
  • Experience with low-code/no-code authoring tools
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools like Figma, Miro, and Confluence at a team-wide or enterprise scale
  • Familiarity with UCD/HCD or design thinking concepts
  • Comfort switching between different platforms and tools

Bonus Points
  • Experience on a large-scale federal IT program
  • Experience with ServiceNow UI Builder or similar enterprise low-code platforms
  • Experience delivering code
  • Familiarity with SAFe delivery

Security Requirements
  • Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
