This role is categorized as hybrid. The selected candidate will be expected to work on-site at the Warren Tech Center at least three days per week, or as otherwise determined by the hiring leader.

  • This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.

About the Role:

Join a dynamic team delivering dealer-installed accessory chassis and performance products across GM vehicle architectures. In this role, you will lead approved projects from concept through production, including customer requirements, design and release, sourcing, validation, launch, and lifecycle support.

You will work closely with vehicle programs, suppliers, design, purchasing, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality accessory solutions on time. You will also help shape future offerings through benchmarking, proposal development, and innovation.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead accessory chassis and performance projects from concept through launch and lifecycle support

  • Define product requirements and support sourcing, part development, and validation activities

  • Lead cross-functional product development team meetings and drive execution with suppliers and internal partners

  • Manage cost, timing, and part release activities for assigned programs

  • Partner with Design Studio, Purchasing, and suppliers to deliver high-quality, criteria-compliant solutions

  • Support future product development through benchmarking, business cases, and supplier innovation


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Development Engineer, Vehicle Performance Engineer, or in a related role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across functions

  • Exposure to CAD, CAE, Teamcenter, vehicle development, and validation processes


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated interest in vehicle performance enhancement

  • Experience with vehicle chassis systems

  • Understanding of GM Vehicle Development Process and program execution fundamentals

  • Understanding of Accessories, Aftersales, and dealership operations

  • Experience applying AI to improve efficiency

  • DFSS training or certification

  • Additive manufacturing experience

  • Familiarity with eMerge, PRTS, DFMEA, DRBFM, and related GM tools

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field
