Full Job Description
The Design Project Manager leads the delivery of environmental design and branded space projects from discovery and planning through design completion and implementation handoff. This role keeps teams aligned, projects financially healthy, and work moving forward with clear scope, priorities, schedules, decisions, and next steps.

Accountabilities
  • Own project delivery by translating client objectives and scope into clear plans, milestones, resources, dependencies, and decision points.
  • Coordinate delivery across teams, consultants, vendors, and partners while maintaining visibility into scope, schedule, budget, risks, decisions, and documentation.
  • Partner with Account Management, Business Development, SMEs, and project leadership on project planning, scoping, resource needs, client expectations, and solution quality.
  • Escalate risks, resource constraints, unresolved dependencies, scope changes, quality concerns, margin impacts, schedule risks, and client issues with clear recommendations.
  • Measure project health through schedule performance, budget performance, margin attainment, forecast accuracy, scope management, design quality, client satisfaction, and timely risk resolution.


Responsibilities
  • Develop project plans that define scope, timing, budget, assumptions, resources, responsibilities, dependencies, milestones, and decision points.
  • Engage Account Management, Strategy, Brand Design, Environmental Design, Production, SMEs, vendors, and partners to align requirements, responsibilities, and delivery plans.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, forecasts, hours, vendor costs, risks, approvals, decisions, deliverables, and action items throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain proactive communication with Account Management on project status, risks, and recommendations with clarity, transparency, empathy, and practical solutions.
  • Drive projects through design completion by securing timely decisions, adapting to changing conditions, protecting scope and margin, and ensuring deliverables meet quality expectations before client review.
  • Prepare projects for implementation by coordinating a complete and accurate handoff of scope, design intent, decisions, documentation, budgets, assumptions, risks, and outstanding items to implementation teams.
  • Apply consistent project management practices across environmental design, brand, and marketing initiatives through design completion and implementation handoff.


Qualifications
  • 3+ years of project management experience in environmental design, branded environments, experiential design, or related fields.
  • Understanding of environmental design delivery from strategy and concept through design development and implementation handoff, including awareness of production, sourcing, fabrication, construction, and installation requirements.
  • Proven success managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, forecasts, risks, and change orders.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Agile, adaptable, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and related project management tools.
  • Agency experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting branding and marketing initiatives is a plus.
  • Financial services, banking, or credit union experience is a plus.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
