Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Nuclear or Chemical Engineering, from an ABET accredited institution.
• 15+ years of experience producing PE sealed Issued for Construction design documents.
• 8+ years of progressive supervisory/management experience overseeing multidisciplinary design teams of 50+ members.
• Prior design management on projects exceeding $100M in total installed costs.
• Deep understanding of DoE and NRC nuclear regulations, including a proven track record of securing NRC licenses or DOE Safety Basis Approval.
• Professional Engineer registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary design team for the creation of nuclear fuel production and waste processing facilities.
• Generate staffing budget estimates and manage staffing assignments efficiently.
• Oversee engineering and design efforts for all project disciplines.
• Coordinate staffing needs across disciplines to ensure project success.
• Monitor quality and progress of individual disciplines, ensuring timelines and standards are met.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to address issues related to staffing and project performance.
• Establish design standards and recommend improvements for project procedures.
