Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is looking for a Deputy Security Program Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to provide leadership to the largest armed security officer program in the company supporting several sensitive facilities and their personnel.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Providing daily guidance, direction, leadership, and mentoring to a large group (100+) of site managers, armed security supervisors, team leads, and line officers assigned to classified, sensitive facilities throughout the greater Washington DC Metropolitan Area (WMA) as well as other domestic U.S. locations.
  • Working with the Vaxcom Security Training Program Manager to create, review, revise and deliver mandatory training courses in order to keep officers' required certifications current.
  • Working with Client leadership to address and resolve issues on a daily basis ensuring that Vaxcom leadership is kept aware.
  • Enforcing Post Orders, Vaxcom/Client rules, and facility regulations in tandem with site leads, supervisors, and team leads.
  • Assisting Vaxcom leadership in maintaining and enhancing program performance over time.
  • Acting as a resource to site managers, supervisors and armed security officers in the program helping them to resolve issues and address problems at the lowest level. This will require travel to multiple facilities in the greater WMA and other domestic U.S. locations for limited amounts of time.
  • Maintaining and building relationships with the Client and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating outstanding communication skills to include verbal, written, and briefing.
  • Working with your Site Supervisors to ensure all posts and shifts are adequately covered on a 24/7 basis at all locations.
  • Performing extensive time and attendance certification on a weekly basis.
  • Assisting with recruitment activities as required.
  • Participating in Vaxcom corporate leadership activities as required.
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities as assigned.


What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of related physical security experience or high school diploma plus 10 years+ of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of leadership/supervisory experience at any level.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, briefing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve issues at the lowest level ensuring all stakeholders are kept apprised.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Client leadership and Program Managers on a daily basis to address issues, changes, and modifications that will impact job requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in providing mentoring/coaching to teammates or subordinates to improve performance and give career guidance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays on an "as needed" basis. This will require travel to greater WMA facilities and to domestic U.S. sites on an as-needed basis.
  • Flexibility to take on ad hoc responsibilities and prioritize competing assignments/tasks.
  • Must be willing and able to complete state required certifications using both a handgun and a patrol rifle as needed.
  • Must possess an active and current TS/SCI with polygraph.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • 5+ years experience working as an armed security officer, preferably at a classified or sensitive facility.
  • 5+ years experience as a manager/supervisor of 10+ people.
  • 2+ years in either law enforcement/Department of Corrections, or the US Military.
  • Experience working with senior leadership.
  • Experience in shift staffing/scheduling, time and attendance reporting, metrics gathering and analysis, and other related administrative processes.


Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
