Full Job Description
MANTECH seeks a Deputy Program Manager to join our team in support of a key technical program in Chantilly, VA.

In this role, you will support the management and execution of a large, complex technical contract. As the deputy to the Executive Director/Program Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in achieving contract objectives, ensuring compliance, and delivering mission-focused results on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Managing contract personnel, ensuring both customer-facing and corporate-facing requirements are exceeded
  • Building and maintaining productive relationships with customers, stakeholders, and contract personnel
  • Optimizing contract staffing, recruitment, and retention of personnel
  • Interfacing with a variety of support organizations, to include finance, contracts, subcontracts, security, recruiting, and subcontractor company management
  • Ensuring contract deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered timely
  • Preparing and presenting status reports, reviews, and briefings as required
  • Ability to support occasional travel to McLean, VA and other Northern Virginia locations as required

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma with 10+ years of relevant program management, project management, technical, and/or analytic experience
  • Experience managing contracts, or portions of contracts, of similar size (contract value or FTE) and/or scope (technical requirements)
  • Demonstrated experience and success managing cost reimbursable contracts and controlling costs within contract value
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of customer and corporate organizations, to include both informal written and verbal communications and formal briefings, reviews, and control gates
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership roles, with responsibilities for managing both personnel and competing technical priorities and tasks


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ten (10)+ years of program management experience
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing disparately-located personnel
  • PMP or PgMP certification

Clearance Requirements:
  • An active/current TS/SCI with polygraph is required

Physical Requirements:
  • Use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.


The projected compensation range for this position is $169,100.00-$303,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
