Deputy Executive Director, Operations & Programs, you will serve as the agency's second-in-command and strategic partner to the Executive Director. You will provide executive leadership over organizational operations, program performance, administrative functions, and service delivery systems while ensuring organizational goals are translated into measurable results. In the absence of the Executive Director, you will serve as Acting Executive Director and help lead the organization's continued growth and long-term sustainability.
Some of the key responsibilities include:- Providing executive oversight of agency operations to ensure organizational effectiveness, accountability, and achievement of strategic objectives.
- Leading program performance, operational excellence, and service delivery while ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Supervising and developing management staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Overseeing financial and administrative operations, including budgeting, fiscal accountability, internal controls, procurement, and audit readiness.
- Partnering with the Executive Director to support strategic planning, community partnerships, revenue diversification, organizational growth, and long-term sustainability.
- Monitoring organizational performance, identifying operational challenges, and implementing solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Representing KEYS with funders, public agencies, community partners, and stakeholders while strengthening strategic relationships.
- Serving as Acting Executive Director in the absence of the Executive Director and supporting agency-wide initiatives and organizational priorities.
Experience Needed: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Nonprofit Management, Finance, Social Services, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or management capacity. Experience managing organizational operations, programs, budgets, personnel, and strategic initiatives is required. Experience within nonprofit, housing, homeless services, community development, affordable housing, or public-sector organizations is highly desirable.
