Position Information

This is a Department Promotional Examinationand is open to eligible employees of the Department of Agriculture and Measurement Standards.

Appraisal (100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of evaluating the applicant's training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the position. Appraisal can be based on any of the following: investigating, oral exam and/or review of application.

Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.

Examination components for promotional testing will be administered during scheduled date(s)/time(s)/location(s) without exception.
Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards:

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university that meets the minimum qualifications established by the California Secretary of Agriculture.

AND

Possession of valid County Deputy Agricultural Commissioner license OR County Deputy Sealer of Weights and Measures license.

AND

Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in the enforcement of agricultural and/or weights and measures laws and regulations.

AND

Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license is required. A Class A or Class B California driver's license may be required depending upon assignment.
