Job Title: Department of Commerce (DOC) Strategic Account Executive
Clearance Required: National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for NOAA, NASA Support; TS/SCI Preferred

We are seeking a Strategic Account Executive to manage and grow Alpha Omega's most important US Federal Government client relationships. The Strategic Account Executive serves as the primary relationship owner throughout the life of a contract, ensuring exceptional delivery, overseeing customer engagement, managing client satisfaction, contract administration, financial performance, renewals, and account growth activities.

This role spans Federal Agencies under the Department of Commerce (DOC) with a focus on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Given the relationship of NOAA with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), this role may expand beyond the DOC portfolio and include contracts from other agencies, such as NASA. The role requires a professional who can build trusted relationships across program offices, acquisition organizations, and mission stakeholders while ensuring Alpha Omega delivers a strong customer experience.

You will provide oversight and stakeholder engagement of DOC and NOAA contracts to ensure the mission goals and priorities of each agency are met on-schedule and within budget. This is a high-growth role for someone eager to continue developing expertise in program management, compliance, digital modernization initiatives in the federal landscape, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Relationship Management


• Serve as the primary point of contact for existing Federal customers.
• Execute regular check-ins on all contracts to ensure service quality.
• Understand client needs, preferences, and long-term goals to influence growth of the DOC portfolio.


• Contract & Account Oversight


• Monitor contractual obligations, identify potential risks, and proactively drive resolution to protect customer relationships and program outcomes.
• Support renewal and recompete strategies by coordinating early engagement and long-term account planning activities.
• Develop required briefing materials and other records that communicate project and program status within the portfolio for both Alpha Omega Leadership and the federal client.
• Maintain gold-standard accessible contract records. Ensure documents are in compliance with contract specifications and Alpha Omega record management policies.


• Contract & Account Oversight


• Ensure contract Project Managers are set up for success and provide a high quality of service to the client.
• Provide direct line management for project manager performance and personnel issues.


• Drive Growth in the Portfolio


• Collaborate with the Alpha Omega Business Development Lead to identify growth opportunities in both current and new contracts.
• Define and meet growth targets year over year which align with Alpha Omega's growth plan.
• Support Capture and Proposal activities to ensure delivery of compelling and compliant proposals to the government.
• Independently manage complex contract matters requiring advanced judgment. Decisions have significant positive impact across multifunctional organizations, contributing to new business opportunities and mission outcomes.


• Provide Leadership and Digital Transformation Expertise


• Leveraging your background in Computer Science/IT, consult the federal client in all matters associated with their digital transformation initiatives.
• Consult with the federal client on Agile development practices, including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) adoption.

Required Experience/Skills:

• 15+ Years of experience as a Project Manager supporting a scientific agency.
• Experience in supporting business and project teams in translating complex business needs into tangible outcomes that meet, or exceed, federal business objectives and priorities.
• Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes, contracting vehicles, FAR/DFARS, and government procurement practices.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels.
• Knowledge of various agile business analysis techniques including interviewing, brainstorming, problem discovery, MVP identification, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) exercises.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to manage and lead meetings.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence as project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an environment leveraging IT frameworks.
• At least 10 years supporting DOC, specifically NOAA, IT contracts is HIGHLY desired.
• Proven track record of positive federal stakeholder engagement.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT related field

Certification(s):

• Active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Active Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe ®) Practice Consultant (SPC) certification (SAFe® 5 minimum)
• Active PMI Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) certification, or other Agile certification
• Active AWS Solution Architect certification (Associate or Professional)
• Minimum Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
• ITIL v4 Certification is preferred, but not required

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $150,000- $200,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
