SUMMARYIncumbents perform a wide variety of complex and highly responsible professional and administrative management support functions that involve analysis, coordination, monitoring, supervision, and research for all divisions within a department. Incumbents prepare and present budgets, assist in writing operational policies and procedures, manage various fiscal activities, participate in or chair department/Citywide committees, and plan and coordinate special projects. Incumbents may supervise other staff.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field; and five years of professional experience in accounting, contract administration, financial cost analysis, auditing, budget preparation, or a closely related financial/fiscal activity; or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
