Akicita Federal is hiring General Dentists to deliver comprehensive oral healthcare services for the Indian Health Service at the Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center in Sisseton, South Dakota. - Diagnose and treat a broad range of dental conditions for a diverse patient population, including restorative, preventive, and emergency dental care
- Perform routine and complex dental procedures such as extractions, fillings, crowns, and root canals in accordance with established clinical standards
- Conduct thorough oral health assessments, including examination of teeth, gums, and surrounding oral structures
- Develop and communicate individualized treatment plans, educating patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical findings accurately in the electronic health records system
- Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with all applicable federal, state, and clinic-specific healthcare standards and protocols
$316,160 - $322,400 a year
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Active, unrestricted dental license to practice in the state of South Dakota (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Board certification or eligibility as a General Dentist
- Demonstrated clinical experience providing general dentistry services across a broad scope of procedures
- Ability to work on-site in Sisseton, South Dakota for the duration of the engagement
