Job Summary

The Dentist provides comprehensive, patient-centered dental care within an ambulatory care setting, supporting Hamilton Health Center's mission to deliver accessible, high-quality services to the community. This role is responsible for diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical care delivery while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and excellence in patient outcomes.

Essential Functions

Clinical Care & Patient Management
  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
  • Provide preventive, restorative, and basic surgical procedures within scope
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Care Coordination & Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and care team members

  • Support continuity of care across departments

Compliance & Quality Standards
  • Adhere to infection control standards (ADA, OSHA, CDC guidelines)
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited program
  • Current or eligible Pennsylvania dental license

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a community health or FQHC setting
  • Experience serving diverse and underserved populations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
