Full Job Description
The General Dentist is responsible for delivering high quality, comprehensive dental care to patients while adhering to clinical, ethical, and operational standards established by the organization. This role focuses on patient centered treatment, clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with the broader care team to ensure a consistent, positive patient experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
  • Deliver general dentistry services including restorative, preventive, endodontic, periodontal, and prosthodontic care within scope of licensure
  • Perform clinical procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals, and dentures as appropriate
  • Educate patients on oral health, treatment options, and preventive care strategies
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation in the practice management system
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
  • Adhere to clinical protocols, quality standards, and best practices established by the organization
  • Collaborate effectively with hygienists, dental assistants, and front office staff to support patient flow and experience
  • Participate in clinical meetings, training, and professional development activities
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive clinical environment


Qualifications

  • DEA registration and current CPR or BLS certification
  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a group practice or DSO supported environment
  • Advanced training or certifications in specialized procedures


Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for dental procedures
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemicals typical of a dental clinical environment
  • Use of personal protective equipment as required
