Akicita Federal is hiring General Dentists to deliver comprehensive oral health care to our nation's Veterans through the Orlando VA Healthcare System in Orlando, FL. This is a full-time, onsite position providing direct dental services at the Veterans Way campus, where you will play a meaningful role in improving the health and quality of life of those who have served our country.
- Provide comprehensive general dentistry services to eligible Veteran patients, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Perform routine and complex dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, and prosthodontics as within the general dentist scope of practice
- Diagnose oral health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with each Veteran's overall health needs
- Document all clinical findings, treatment rendered, and patient interactions accurately within the VA's electronic health record system
- Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other VA healthcare providers to deliver integrated, patient-centered care
- Adhere to all VA clinical protocols, infection control standards, and safety guidelines governing dental practice
- Participate in quality assurance activities and support continuous improvement of dental care delivery within the facility
$384,800 - $395,200 a year
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Current, valid, and unrestricted state dental license to practice general dentistry (must remain in good standing throughout the period of performance)
- Eligibility to obtain VA credentialing and privileging prior to commencement of services
- Ability to pass VA personnel vetting and background investigation requirements
- Proficiency performing full-scope general dentistry procedures in a clinical setting
