Full Job Description
Position Summary:

Joining our Dental Department, the Dental Hygienist will support quality dental services at our El Nuevo San Juan Health Center in the Bronx, NY. The Dental Hygienist will clean teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. The Dental Hygienist will also educate patients and families on oral hygiene, take and develops x-rays, and apply fluoride and sealants.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • NYS Registered Dental Hygienist.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and general principles of dentistry.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • BLS and Local anesthesia certification.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred


This is a full time role with a Tuesday to Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm schedule (or Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays).

Compensation: Minimum: $84,000 per year Maximum: $94,000 per year contingent upon years of experience.

Key Duties:
  • Examine gums using probes to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease.
  • Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
  • Apply fluorides, sealants or other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
  • Provide clinical services or health education to improve and maintain the oral health of patients.
  • Noting and reviewing patient medical history, and looking for indications of oral cancer.
