Duties- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and oral health assessments for patients
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care
- Assist in the management of patient medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Conduct periodontal assessments and charting, documenting findings accurately in medical records
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to infection control standards
- Stay updated on current dental practices, technologies, and regulations relevant to the field
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry as needed, ensuring a positive experience for younger patients
Qualifications- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
- Experience in a dental office setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and best practices
- Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning within the field
