Job Summary:The Dental Director is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and strategic direction of Hamilton Health Center's Dental Department across multiple service locations. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered dental care while maintaining operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.
The Dental Director plays a key leadership role in driving clinical excellence, expanding access to care, supporting provider performance, and advancing the organization's mission within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership, supervision, and oversight of all dental providers and clinical staff
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered dental services across all locations
- Oversee clinical performance, peer review processes, and provider evaluations
- Develop, implement, and maintain dental policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and all regulatory standards
- Collaborate with leadership on operational planning, staffing models, and patient flow optimization
- Monitor productivity, performance metrics, and departmental outcomes
- Partner with Finance and leadership to develop and manage departmental budgets
- Support revenue cycle initiatives and departmental financial performance
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development of dental staff in collaboration with Human Resources
- Investigate and respond to patient complaints in accordance with organizational policy
- Serve as Dental Radiation Safety Officer and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Prepare reports, participate in leadership meetings, and support strategic initiatives
- Provide direct patient care as needed, consistent with credentials and privileges
Qualifications:Required:- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited program
- Active license to practice Dentistry in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Board certification or eligibility through the American Dental Association
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in a dental or clinical setting
- Demonstrated experience managing clinical operations, staff performance, and compliance
Preferred:- Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or multi-site healthcare organization
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and regulatory survey processes
- Experience with budgeting, productivity metrics, and revenue cycle performance
- Bilingual (Spanish)
