Full Job Description
A Demand Planning Manager job in Eastern WA or Woodinville, WA is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE). The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the success of balancing demand and supply at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. Through a formal Integrated Business Planning process, the Demand Planning Manager will develop, implement and drive the forecasting processes that support the company's short-, mid- and long-term business plans for the domestic, international channels. The role will work closely with the Integrated Business Planning team, Supply Chain/Operations, Sales, Marketing, Vineyard/Winemaking and Executive teams to collaborate on an end-to-end plan that balances customer service needs with inventory cost, profit, risk and optimal bottling line efficiency.

Demand Planning Manager job responsibilities include:

  • Use sophisticated planning systems (ideally Anaplan) to build low level statistical base line forecasts.
  • Lead the relevant demand planning processes to determine opportunities and risks against the company forecast.
  • Facilitate the demand side IBP process with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations and Winemaking identifying risks, including contingencies in developing short-, mid- and long-term demand plans.
  • Ensure supply supports demand plans by collaborating with the supply planning team.
  • Provide transparency and accessibility to the demand plans to all necessary stakeholders.
  • Use data driven metrics to drive process improvement and accountability focusing on demand plan accuracy.
  • Work with IT in the development of reporting to support the demand process
  • Develop within the demand planning software (or work with a developer) to create and maintain dashboards and input screens.
  • Create, develop, and execute forecasting improvement initiatives and processes.
  • Lead training and continued education of our Software and processes.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent. MBA preferred.
  • Expert in the field of supply chain planning principles such as Demand Planning, MRP, DRP, Capacity Planning, Inventory Control, S&OP, IBP.
  • Intermediate knowledge of forecasting and demand planning concepts such as statistical modeling, promotional planning, aggregation, and dis-aggregation modeling.
  • Experience with demand and supply planning systems such as Anaplan, Oracle APS, JDA, SAP_APO, John Galt or other similar systems.
  • Power user with Excel, Access and data mining through SQL data warehouses.
  • Experience in developing and sharing demand related metrics and reporting.
  • Understanding of winemaking lifecycle from planting to finished bottling preferred
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.


Your Compensation:

$95,791.00 - $124,506.00 per year based upon relevant experience.
