Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

As NFM's Delivery Manager you're responsible for the growth and retention of a qualified network of Outbound Service Providers. The Delivery Manager will coordinate process between NFM and the delivery contractor management teams that support successful delivery performance. You will ensure fair practices between NFM departments and the delivery contractor management teams.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life
  • Monitor and reduce spend on outbound transportation costs and handle cargo claim dispute resolutions
  • Manage Ensure independent contractors understand terms of the agreement, meet the required license/certification/insurance requirements and consistently comply with requirements supporting customer and company initiatives
  • Plan Work on Developing a Forecasting tool in conjunction with sales projections as well as innovation and growth for each new facility including forecasting labor needs
  • Assist Act as an honest broker of delivery process hand off between NFM DC and Delivery management companies
  • Collaborate Working with the Planning management group and independent Service Providers on KPI performance, and service vehicle fleet size to evaluate percentage of additional business they are capable of adding

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, logistics or equivalent experience preferred
  • Logistics experience preferred
  • Insurance claim investigation or processing experience preferred
  • Project management experience required
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles preferred
  • 3 years of customer service experience
  • 3 years of management experience
  • Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to enter data quickly and accurately
  • Valid driver's license and ongoing acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
