Description and Responsibilities

Are you a Registered Nurse looking for an environment that is not an office or hospital setting? Are you looking for the ability to make connections with your patients and work within an innovative and person-centered domain? Workdays can be a challenge at times, however, with a pace slower than a hospital setting and the ability to work with people on a long-term basis, Open Sky nurses are provided a unique opportunity for those who are looking for a clinically based, supportive and nurturing role.

Open Sky RNs are the cornerstone of our treatment teams and Open Sky leans heavily on the Nurses in our residential programs to provide guidance, medical oversight and unique, individualized consultation to employees who support some of the most vulnerable members of the Commonwealth. This is a 40-hour position which will be assigned to residential programs in the Worcester, South Norfolk, and greater Boston areas.

The schedule for this position is day shift Monday-Friday.

Other Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide training and consultation to programs regarding medical issues, procedures and techniques, and health and wellness practices.
  • Assess and provide individualized education related to person's health and disease processes; reinforce wellness and preventative health measures.
  • Review clinical records on a regular basis to ensure adequate services and supports are provided, including any applicable medical interventions, tests, or preventative care as necessary.
  • Provide oversight to the Medication Administration Program and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
