Location: Las Vegas, NV

The Role: DCO Senior Facilities Technician

This role serves as a senior technical resource within Data Center Operations. You support the operation and maintenance of mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems, act as a designated first responder during infrastructure events, and provide technical leadership to other technicians. The role requires advanced troubleshooting capability, disciplined safety practices, and the ability to operate effectively in a 24/7/365 environment.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain reliable operation of critical power, cooling, and environmental systems to support uptime standards.
  • Act as a designated first responder to mission-critical alarms and infrastructure events.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis efforts within your area of expertise.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Oversee and verify vendor and contractor work to ensure compliance with Switch safety and quality standards.
  • Support development and review of MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and other critical environment procedures.
  • Utilize CMMS to document maintenance activities, asset updates, and work order completion.
  • Analyze system data to assist with predictive maintenance planning.
  • Mentor and train Facilities Technicians to build technical capability and first responder readiness.
  • Support troubleshooting of data center hardware including PDUs, network equipment, and related infrastructure when required.
  • Participate in technical meetings, project initiatives, and operational reviews.

What You'll Bring
  • 6 or more years of experience in facilities, electrical, or mechanical maintenance within a data center or industrial environment.
  • Strong background in HVAC controls and mechanical system operation.
  • Advanced understanding of systems including generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, ATS or STS units, PDUs, CRAC or CRAH units, pumps, and fire suppression systems.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and safe work practices around live equipment.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical trade school training or equivalent practical experience preferred.
