Job Description:Schedule: Monday - Friday 0800-16:30
- Ensures efficient use of resources and labor by reviewing scheduling and staffing needs.
- Acts as a liaison between staff and department leadership, communicating important issues to leadership promptly.
- Maintains good working relationships with all customers and communicates effectively with other healthcare team members.
- Serves as a role model by demonstrating leadership, communication, initiative, personal and professional growth, poise, and self-control.
- Acts as a resource person and assists with clinical duties when needed, maintaining all required clinical competencies.
- Practices and enforces standard precautions and safety regulations according to hospital policies.
- Attends new leader orientation and ongoing management/leadership classes.
- Adheres to, and ensures staff adherence to, the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitors staff activities in the clinical setting to ensure services are provided according to department and facility policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates professional standards and ethics, showing regard for the dignity, confidentiality, and respect of all patients, family members, visitors, and hospital personnel.
- Participates in and proactively initiates performance improvement activities.
- Completes performance appraisals on time, counsels staff, and initiates progressive discipline as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Knowledge and appropriate implementation of applicable regulatory and professional standards [Required]
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including documentation in the patient care record (EMR) [Required]
- Ability to handle multiple projects and initiatives and make appropriate decisions in stressful situations [Required]
- Ability to maintain good working relationships and open lines of communication with all and collaborate with other departments to ensure continuity of patient care [Required]
- Develop and implement educational processes for all team members and able to function as manager in the absence of the manager [Required]
- Critical thinking and patient assessment skills with the ability to evaluate and modify treatment plans utilizing respiratory therapy driven protocols [Required]
- Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]
Education: - Associate's [Required]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
Field of Study: - in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science
Work Experience: - 3+ years critical care experience [Required]

Pay Range:$31.55 - $58.69
