Sr Database Developer / SQL Developer

Location

Description/Role
  • The Database Developer is responsible for analyzing agency operations, applications, programming, and objectives to determine database structural requirements;
  • Design database applications, such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, global temporary tables, data partitions, and function-based indexes to enable efficient access of the generic database structure in an Agile environment;
  • Should have extensive experience SQL Development
  • Develop database design and architecture documentation for the management and executive teams;
  • Extensive Experience with ETL
  • Extensive experience with Database migrations
  • Plan and install upgrades of database management system software to enhance database performance; Identify and correct deviations from database development standards; Identify and resolve production and application development problems; Create and enforce database development standards in an Agile environment;
  • Develop or maintain archived procedures, procedural codes, or queries for applications; Develop load-balancing processes to eliminate down time for backup processes;
  • Develop data models for applications, metadata tables, views or related database structures;
  • Develop modeling strategies to ensure that the database is secure, scalable and performs reliably;
  • The Database Developer will be responsible for constantly monitoring the database and immediately addressing database issues and problems; "

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7-10+ years' experience Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
  • Five (5) years of experience in data analysis or the design and development of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL, DB2, and Oracle on projects related to Case Management;
  • 2+ years of Database Migration experience
  • Must have extensive experience in ETL
  • Must have proven ability to work in distributed systems;
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and implementing an enterprise data warehouse;
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with OLAP and OLTP;
  • Must have experience developing and implementing a RESTful API for a relational database;
  • Two (2) years of experience in developing and implementing software in Agile environments. "

2/3 years working with State governments Experience in DevOps and CiCD environment Experience in Child Welfare domain
