Qualifications

• Must currently reside in Cold Lake or surrounding area
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
• Strong experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
• Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and security best practices
• Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is an asset

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database management systems
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies
• Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across systems
• Perform regular backups and recovery procedures
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
• Collaborate with developers and IT teams to design efficient database structures
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and high-availability solutions
