Our federal customer relies on this program to operate and modernize a nationwide case-management and intelligence-analysis platform supporting complex investigative and operational workflows. The team sustains a mission-critical system that integrates data, analytics, and organizational processes across multiple regions to ensure a secure, scalable, and efficient platform for case management, trend analysis, and coordinated activities.
Note: This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active U.S. government Secret level security clearance or higher to be considered for this role.
Meaningful Work and Personal Impact
• Lead the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team in modernization efforts
• Provide technical and management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
• Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives and supervise others as required
• Apply expert domain and technical knowledge to influence project implementation
• Develop and deliver high-quality data systems, reports, analytical products, and features
• Provide O&M support for existing data systems including the Enterprise Data Warehouse with multi-source integrations and established extracts
• Support, update, and deliver enterprise reporting using PowerBI dashboards
• Design, develop, support, maintain, and enhance the Enterprise Search application integrating multiple sources, API capabilities, BI capabilities, and OpenSearch features
• Contribute to AI/ML module development, enhancement, research, and deployment for entity extraction and relationship mapping from unstructured datasets
• Support modernization of the agency's data ecosystem using evolving Cloud and non-Cloud technology stacks
• Adhere to Agile Scrum, Kanban, or other methodologies as directed by the customer
Work Schedule / Location: Must be willing to work onsite in Fairfax County, VA 3 days a week with 2 days from home.
What You'll Need to Succeed
REQUIRED SKILLS
• BA/BS degree or 4 additional years of equivalent work experience
• 15+ years of total database experience, including 12+ years of SQL Server experience
• Experience with SQL Server databases of at least 5 TB and one billion total rows
• 5+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies
• 3+ years of experience with MS tools such as SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, PowerBI, and ADO, as well as modern data management tools including Python, R, and Cloud services
• 3+ years of experience in Dimensional Analysis in a Kimball-style Enterprise Data Warehouse with at least 500 total tables and one billion rows of data

The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $180,550. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
