Job Summary

The Data Warehouse & BI Engineer supports Client manufacturing environment by leading the design, development, and delivery of data warehouse, reporting, and analytics solutions that drive operational visibility and business decision-making. This hands-on role spans the full solution lifecycle - requirements gathering, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support - ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-value outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead end-to-end delivery of data warehouse, reporting, and analytics solutions.
  2. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality data warehouse and BI solutions supporting manufacturing and enterprise priorities.
  3. Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to define solution approaches and deliver impactful reporting capabilities.
  4. Develop and maintain T-SQL procedures, functions, queries, and scripts for data integration and analytics.
  5. Design, build, and support ETL processes for intake and transformation of manufacturing and enterprise data.
  6. Research, analyze, and troubleshoot data issues, stored procedures, and associated SSRS or Power BI reports.
  7. Collaborate with DBAs to assess server health, database performance, and query optimization; recommend and implement improvements.
  8. Develop and support data migration procedures and scripts for projects and operations.
  9. Contribute to evolving data warehouse architecture aligned with best practices.
  10. Ensure code is version-controlled and developed in accordance with SDLC standards.
  11. Support operationally critical work and global project timelines, including flexible hours when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting Data Warehouse and BI solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).
  • Strong T-SQL development skills including stored procedures, functions, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Experience developing ETL and reporting solutions, including Power BI or similar tools.
  • Experience working within an SDLC process.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Agile project methodologies.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or factory floor systems.
  • Familiarity with Camstar or other Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience with MES, CMMS, SPC, OSI PI, and related data models.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in data warehousing and BI architecture.
  • Experience with relational databases in SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Experience using TFS, GitLab, or similar source control platforms.
  • Understanding of cubes, OLTP, and OLAP systems.
  • Experience supporting analytics/reporting solutions in regulated or operationally sensitive environments.


Certifications (if any)

  • None required; certifications in BI, SQL, or Agile methodologies are a plus.
