Description

SAIC is seeking a Data Visualization Specialist located at Camp Smith in Hawaii to support PACOM J73 by maintaining a Joint and Service Exercise Common Operating Picture (COP) or dashboard that provides accurate, timely situational awareness for exercise planners, controllers, and senior leaders. The role focuses on configuring and operating Maven Smart Systems and other DoW COP tools to visualize all phases of PACOM exercises.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Configure, operate, and maintain Maven Smart Systems and other Common Operational Picture (COP) tools to deliver a unified Exercise COP for PACOM J7.
  • Build and manage exercise COP baselines (force laydown, infrastructure, ranges, C2 architecture) and integrate multi-source data (force flow, assessments, C2 status).
  • Maintain real-time COP updates during execution; produce snapshots, overlays, and timelines for briefs and senior leader updates.
  • Enforce COP data standards, naming conventions, and joint symbology; conduct routine data validation and document workflows and procedures.
  • Optimize COP configurations across exercises; develop and maintain SOPs, templates, and quick-reference guides.
  • Coordinate with components, Services, and partners to integrate their feeds and overlays and align the PACOM J7 COP with higher HQ and component COPs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors and two (2) years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience as a COP manager or similar role supporting joint/service exercises at a combatant command, component, or equivalent level.
  • Hands-on expertise with Maven Smart Systems and common DoW COP tools in an exercise environment.
  • Understanding of joint/service exercise life cycle and integration of real/simulated/constructive data into a coherent COP.
  • Proficiency in joint symbology and geospatial data practices; strong communication skills; ability to perform in high-tempo exercise operations.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting PACOM or Indo-Pacific-focused joint/combined exercises and operations
  • Familiarity with Common Operational Picture (COP) -related SOP/training development.
  • Familiarity with C2IE, C2PC, and other Service COPs tools for use within exercise COP architectures.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
  • Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must be a current US Citizen.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
