Position Description:

CGI is seeking to hire an experienced Data / Systems Analyst to support the modernization, analysis, and optimization of enterprise data processing systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills with hands on experience in AWS data services, batch processing, SQL, and scripting technologies. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders and development teams to analyze existing systems, support modernization initiatives and ensure reliable batch data processing across enterprise platforms.

The candidate should be comfortable working in Agile environments and have experience analyzing complex data workflows and supporting large scale data processing applications.

This is a Full-Time, On-Site, employment opportunity based in either Smithfield, RI (preferred), Dallas, TX, or Durham, NC.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Analyze existing applications, batch processes, and data workflows
to understand business and technical requirements.
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and technical documentation.
Create process flows, data mapping documents, and system interaction diagram
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and data quality issues
Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities
Perform data profiling and reconciliation during system migration and modernization efforts.
Analyze and support AWS Batch workloads and related cloud based data processing pipelines. Work with Amazon S3 for data storage, ingestion, retrieval, and validation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand ups, and retrospectives.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

6-9 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role.
Demonstrated experience working with enterprise scale data processing applications and batch systems
Exposure to AWS Batch, Amazon S3
Basic understanding of AWS IAM, CloudWatch, and cloud native architectures
Python
Shell Scripting (Bash and/or KornShell (ksh))
Expertise in SQL (Oracle, Snowflake) development and query optimization
Data analysis and reconciliation
Batch job scheduling and dependency management, Control M
System Analysis, Data Mapping, Process Flow Documentation

Preferred qualifications:

Experience supporting enterprise data modernization initiatives.
Understanding of enterprise batch processing architectures.
Exposure to cloud migration projects
Experience working in Financial Services, Banking, Healthcare, or other highly regulated industries

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $56,700.00 $121,100.00.
