In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex network traffic and high-impact data science. You'll leverage Python and Apache Spark to interrogate massive datasets, dissect intricate protocol behaviors, and refine large-scale dataflows. The annual base salary range for this role is $152,000-$180,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills- Big Data & Analytics: Demonstrated hands-on experience working comfortably with massive, large-scale datasets using Apache Spark.
- Python Development: Advanced proficiency with Python for data manipulation, statistical modeling, and pipeline development.
- Network & Protocol Analysis: Strong background in network communications, packet-level analysis, and a deep technical understanding of network protocols.
- Data Processing Concepts: Practical understanding of data architecture, batch and stream processing, and querying multi-source data environments.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS
7+ years of professional experience in data science, network analysis, or data engineering OR
Master's Degree in a related field, PLUS
5+ years of professional experience OR
High School Diploma / GED, PLUS
11+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired SkillsETL Architecture: Hands-on experience constructing, optimizing, and maintaining complex ETL pipelines and continuous dataflow mechanisms.
Stream & Pipeline Engineering: Familiarity with messaging platforms like Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, or distributed storage systems.
Advanced Cyber Analytics: Practical experience creating specialized telemetry models or threat-hunting analytics from network metadata.
Agile Software Development: Experience with version control systems (Git), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and collaborative software practices.
