Summary

seeks a Data Scientist, Intermediate (Info. Systems & Cyber Security, Analyst) to support a Federal Government client in Patuxent River, MD.

This position requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Primary requirements of the work are applying professional knowledge of computer science and mathematical and statistical theories, techniques, and methods to gather, analyze, design and construct new processes for modeling, interpret, and/or report quantitative information, trends, relationships and correlations among or within data sets.
  • Participate in Mission Thread Analysis to trace system functionality to operational mission objectives, supporting vulnerability identification and resilience strategy validation.
  • Identify the methods, processes, algorithms, tools, and systems to extract and interpret findings from varied structured and unstructured data sets related to the data science lifecycle.
  • Development of algorithms and/or tools to support data manipulation and processing as well as the use of data visualization techniques to articulate findings.
  • Execute comprehensive data management to drive actionable mission intelligence. Core labor activities include extracting and querying data from complete databases, performing extensive data cleaning and normalization, and conducting rigorous statistical analysis to identify operational trends and anomalies. This role is responsible for building and maintaining automated intelligence dashboards, developing predictive data models, and translating highly technical findings into plain-language Financial, Readiness, or Operational summaries for senior leadership. By transforming raw data into strategic insights, the analyst ensures that mission planning, resource allocation, and operational tracking are grounded in verified quantitative metrics.

Travel

10% to other sites, as needed

Required Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience working performing the responsibilities similar to those above.
  • Two years supporting NAVAIR, NAWCAD.

Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Power Platform and Qlick preferred.
  • Experience assisting more senior positions performing functional duties of a similar position.
  • Experience with data reduction, software tools, and their applications.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field;a Master's degree will be considered in lieu of 2 years of professional experience

Clearance
