Job Title: Data Scientist & Analyst - Cost Management and Reporting

Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Data Scientist & Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing analytical expertise, developing advanced models, and generating insights that drive cost optimization and operational efficiency. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making for infrastructure cost management and reporting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: - Data Analysis & Insights:
- Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reporting tools that deliver clear and actionable insights.
- Generate periodic and ad-hoc financial reports to assist stakeholders in understanding cost drivers.
- Modeling & Optimization:
- Design and implement predictive models to forecast costs and support resource allocation decisions.
- Leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to optimize cost performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and propose data-driven solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with the client's infrastructure and finance teams to understand business objectives and translate them into analytical frameworks.
- Present complex data insights in a clear and actionable format tailored to non-technical stakeholders.
- Process Improvement:
- Streamline data collection and reporting processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data governance, documentation, and quality assurance.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in data science, business analytics, or cost management roles.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python (or R) for data manipulation and analytics.
- Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex, multifaceted challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on presenting insights effectively.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in infrastructure, technology, or financial services industries.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
