Job Summary
The Data Mapping Analyst is responsible for supporting enterprise data integration, campaign enablement, and data management initiatives by translating business requirements into detailed source-to-target mapping specifications. This role collaborates with business and technical teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across enterprise systems through data analysis, profiling, validation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate business requirements into detailed source-to-target data mapping specifications.
• Develop, maintain, and version-control source-to-target mapping documentation.
• Utilize SQL to query, analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data across multiple data sources.
• Perform data profiling to understand source system structures and identify data quality issues.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, integrity issues, and data quality concerns.
• Analyze complex data structures and relationships within enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to support data integration initiatives.
• Support ETL processes and data movement activities across enterprise applications.
• Contribute to data governance initiatives by following data management, metadata, and data lineage standards.
• Bridge business requirements and technical implementation through clear and accurate documentation.
• Support customer communication and campaign management initiatives.
• Participate in data validation and testing activities to ensure successful implementation.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data mapping, or data integration.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of ETL concepts, data movement processes, and system integration.
• Experience analyzing complex data structures and relationships.
• Experience creating and maintaining source-to-target mapping documentation.
• Strong data profiling and data validation experience.
• Ability to investigate and resolve data discrepancies and data quality issues.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical data mapping specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with campaign management tools such as Adobe Campaign, Unica, Marketo, or Salesforce Data Cloud (D360).
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage best practices.
• Experience working in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
