Position SummaryThe Data Manufacturing Engineer will provide direct support to order entry, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, purchasing and customer service organizations through the creation and maintenance of pump materials using AS400 Product Master. Create new and revised products and structures in a timely manner. Make daily decisions to maximize utilization of raw materials, equipment, personnel, and available supply chains to increase the company's profitability and competitiveness.
Essential Responsibilities- Load part numbers to AS400 with all necessary description fields - coding, warehouse, etc.
- Request and input part routings, including appropriate standards and relevant text
- Create and maintain product structures
- Retrieve and input special Q.A. requirements, then set up appropriate routing, text, and structures to meet the requirements on Engineered and Industrial orders
- Request costs from Purchasing/suppliers for buy parts as well as outside machining and testing services as needed
- Provide necessary support to the manufacturing facility in updating, changing, and correcting manufacturing flows as changes occur with facility capabilities
- Support new product implementations by loading manufactured and buy parts for routings and costing
- Assist in part "make" versus "buy" decisions with manufacturing, finance, and production control.
- Research historical records to support the repair business. Interpret original requirements for new part structures and input into the AS400 system.
Position RequirementsEducation:
- AAS or BS Technical degree; or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in a machine shop environment
- Familiarity with parts lists, bills of materials, product structures, pumps, and/or pump parts.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Word, Excel, Access
- Working knowledge of AS400 software
- Familiar with manufacturing processes
- Organizational skills
- Teamwork skills
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills, Mechanical aptitude
- Machining and machine routing familiarity
- Cost savings experience

Equal Pay Act RangeAnnual salary range is $99,900 to $149,100, plus benefits and incentive plans.
