Full Job Description
The eCommerce Product Owner serves as the bridge between business needs and technology solutions, helping the organization make smarter, data-driven decisions across online retail platforms. This role is responsible for shaping the vision, priorities, and requirements for eCommerce data and measurement products that support the optimization of digital commerce strategies.

Working closely with the eCommerce team, the Product Owner gathers business needs, translates them into actionable requirements for technical teams, and ensures solutions are aligned with both user needs and business goals. The role uses data and insights to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and develop tools that improve product visibility, digital shelf performance, and the effectiveness of media and promotional investments.

Key responsibilities include partnering with eCommerce stakeholders and leadership to deliver trusted reporting, scalable measurement frameworks, and practical solutions that enable continuous improvement in online execution and business performance. The Product Owner collaborates cross-functionally with IT teams, external vendors, consultants, and business partners, serving as a central point of connection across eCommerce data and measurement initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, translating data into actionable insights, and working collaboratively to create tools and solutions that drive meaningful business impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Areas that play to your strengths

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
  • UNIFIED E-COMMERCE DATA FRAMEWORK
Own the business logic and requirements framework across eCommerce data and measurement projects, partnering with relevant business owners to translate objectives, definitions, and decision into clear specifications for reporting and technical teams.
Partner with IT/data engineering on the integration of new data sources and identify opportunities to improve scalability and reduce manual processes through automation.
Act as the eCommerce team's day-to-day point of contact into Data Engineering, IT, and Reporting Teams, translating reporting needs and business requirements and language into clear technical specifications.
Partner with IT on the integration of new data sources, and highlight where automation would reduce manual reporting work.
Lead sourcing, selection, and management of vendors/consultants engaged to build data models and measurement frameworks where in-house expertise doesn't exist, including cost negotiation and contract management.
  • TRANSLATE DATA INTO INSIGHTS
Define the business logic and KPI requirements that the team's reporting suite and underlying data is built against.
Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) that effectively measure the impact of eCommerce activations.
Work closely with the eCommerce team to ensure that data insights are integrated into daily operations and strategic planning.
Foster a data-driven culture within the eCommerce team, promoting the use of analytics to inform decision-making.
  • STAKEHOLDER SUPPORT
Act as first point of contact for the team on reporting and dashboard questions.
Help stakeholders get more from existing tools through informal coaching and clear documentation - not a formal training/change-management remit.

Own the data requirements, definitions, and measurement frameworks for total eCommerce sales, share, investment, and execution performance.
Drive investment analysis logic and architecture to ensure the budget is effectively allocated and spent.

About Red Bull

Red Bull is an energy drink sold by Red Bull GmbH, an Austrian company created in 1987. Red Bull has the highest market share of any energy drink in the world, with 7.5 billion cans sold in a year (as of 2019). Austrian entrepreneur Dietrich Mateschitz was inspired by an existing energy drink named Krating Daeng, which was first introduced and sold in Thailand by Chaleo Yoovidhya. He took this idea, modified the ingredients to suit the tastes of Westerners, and, in partnership with Chaleo, founded Red Bull GmbH in 1987. Red Bull is sold in a tall and slim blue-silver can, and is marketed through advertising, events (Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, Red Bull Air Race, Red Bull Crashed Ice), sports team ownerships (Red Bull Racing, Scuderia AlphaTauri, FC Red Bull Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, Red Bull Brasil, RB Leipzig, EC Red Bull Salzburg, Red Bull Ghana), celebrity endorsements, and music, through its record label Red Bull Records.
