POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Digital Business, the Data Integrations Administrator leads in supporting integrations between software platforms, programs, and applications. This includes the conception, design, development and ongoing support of interfaces and integration architectures.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and ongoing support for data integration applications.
  • Develop and ongoing support for in-house web applications.
  • Ensures that best practices are followed for all in-house development.
  • Ensures data quality, timeliness, context, and volume is appropriate to the business need to ensure value can be provided.
  • Responsible for optimizing existing data integrations and applications to continually improve performance.
  • Works with business users to convert operational specifications into technical designs and documentation.
  • Follows ITIL Change Management framework when implementing changes.
  • Leads the Data Analytics Coordinators in developing and supporting data integration projects and applications.
  • Supervises the Data Analytics Coordinators and promotes their development through performance management.
  • Completes assignments for the Manager, Digital Business, and others, as required.


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Works predominantly in an office environment.
  • Regular, full-time position (37.5 hours per week). Regular working hours are Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with 1 hour lunch break.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Formal Education

  • Degree from a College or University, specifically with a Technology background or a Diploma in Technology or related experience.
  • Relevant certifications from organizations such as ITIL, Microsoft, ISC2, Esri.


Related Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' related experience developing integrations between applications using APIs such as SOAP or REST.


Other Requirements

  • Experience with various programming languages such as C# and Python.
  • Experience with structured query languages such as T-SQL.
  • Experience with markup languages such as HTML, and XML.
  • Experience with SSIS or other data ingestion and transformation tools.
  • Experience using Safe FME for processing geospatial data.
  • Experience with report writing, organizing, and presenting data supporting decision-making.
  • Knowledge of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Knowledge of ETL methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the Esri ArcGIS Enterprise platform is an asset.
  • Demonstrates statistical and empirical analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Good knowledge of data privacy practices.
  • Strong ability to organize and present data in support of decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and to handle changing priorities effectively.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Works well individually and in a team environment.
  • Creative and intuitive thinker.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the Port's Vision.
  • Able to obtain security clearance under Transport Canada's Security Clearance Program.


The base salary range for this role is $107,936-$134,919. This position is eligible for a performance-based variable incentive targeted at 15% of the base salary.
