Full Job Description
In this position, you will serve as a subject matter expert and senior contributor within the Enterprise Chief Data Office, driving the adoption of data governance policies, risk frameworks, and compliance standards at scale. This is a high-impact opportunity for a seasoned data governance professional to influence how data is managed, governed, and protected across a global organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of policy adoption plans, compliance metrics, and training programs in collaboration with cross-functional partners to embed data governance standards across the organization.
  • Drive end-to-end business analysis by gathering, reviewing, and documenting business requirements, then aligning them to Data Governance and Data Risk and Controls standards to deliver effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Data Governance and Data Risk and Controls standards in alignment with the Enterprise Chief Data Office, ensuring all processes are clearly documented and consistently applied.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on data policies to support key Data Transformation programs, providing authoritative guidance to project teams across the business.
  • Ensure data-related roles and responsibilities are clearly defined, communicated, and embedded across business units to strengthen accountability and governance maturity.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of metrics and reporting, from capturing requirements and building delivery plans through to production and ongoing governance of outputs.
  • Monitor delivery milestones, identify and escalate risks to execution, and maintain transparent reporting to keep stakeholders informed and programs on track.


Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 10 or more years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Process Engineering within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data governance concepts clearly across multiple formats and audiences, with a track record of building consensus and influencing at senior levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and align a wide range of stakeholders across different functions and seniority levels.
  • Working knowledge of Data Operating Model practices, Data Governance frameworks, and Data Compliance requirements within large financial services organizations.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with close attention to detail, continuously improving processes while maintaining a clear view of broader organizational objectives.
  • Organizational awareness and the ability to navigate complex management structures, identify the right information sources, and interpret them effectively to drive decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification.
